The Showers of Blessing Family Outreach Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in Shreveport La., serving impoverished youth ages 16 to 21. The Showers of Blessing Family Outreach Center (SOBFOC) is committed to improving the academic achievement of students. To expanding opportunities for others through enriching education, advancing literacy levels, and reading skills. The Showers of Blessing Family Outreach Center strives to provide a meaningful and essential difference within each individual's life by providing qualified, caring instructors teaching in a clean, safe learning environment. And we have high expectations for students, their families and the community that we serve.

IN SCHOOL YOUTH (GEE)
In-School Youth available services include tutoring, study skills training, development of social skills and job training. Youth experiencing difficulty in passing the Louisiana Education Assessment Program (LEAP) Test or (GEE) General Exit Exam will receive assistance in areas needed to pass the exam. Assistance with Summer job placement with both paid and unpaid work experiences will be available to those selected to participate in the program.

OUT OF SCHOOL YOUTH (GED)
Our Out-of-School Youth program offers a second chance to youth desiring a GED and/or eligible youth who has either graduated from high school or holds a GED, but is basic skills deficient, unemployed or underemployed.
